Ufa airport is turned to special security mode

Because of the explosion in Moscow “Domodedovo” the international airport “Ufa” is turned to special security mode.

“All structures of the law-enforcement bodies, dislocated at the airport, undertake special security measures” – the advisor General Director of Ufa airport Amir Sultangareev told to the news agency “Bashinform”.

The explosion has occurred at Moscow “Domodedovo” today and according to the preliminary version this is an act of terror. According to the latest information of the Ministry of health protection and social development RF 31 people reported dead (according to RIA “NOVOSTI” the number of the victims is 35 people and the number of suffered increased up to 152 people, 58 are hospitalized). The President of Russia Dmitry Medvedev ordered to announce special mode at all airports and all railway stations.

According to preliminary information the explosion was committed by a suicide bomber, who was found in the crowd of welcomers and the bomb capacity was about 5kg in TNT equivalent, a source in the law-enforcement bodies reported to RIA “NOVOSTI”. The bomb was stuffed with damaging metal elements.
