The 80th anniversary of Rashit Akhtari to be celebrated in Mechetlinsky region RB

The 80th anniversary of a well-known poet-improvisator, a native of Mechetlisnky region Rashit Akhtari (1931-1996) will be celebrated in Mechetlisnky region of Bashkortostan in January 2011.
Rashit Akhtari was born on January 6, 1931, in the peasant family in the village Ishalino. He studied at the local primary and then secondary schools. After that he worked in the villages Abdrakhim and Telyashevo as a teacher. After the end of the army service Rashit Akhtari has successfully finished the philological faculty of the Bashkir State University and the zoo-veterinary faculty of the Ufa agricultural institute. In parallel he studied English language self-dependently.
Rashit Akhtary has become widely popular as a poet, improvisator, narrator and folklore specialist. Thanks to him many pearls of amateur and folk arts reached wide public – fairy tales, eposes and once forgotten rites. In 2002 the Mechetlisnky rural council has established the regional award by Rashit Akhtari in sphere of literature, culture and art, presented once in two years.
