Rustem Khamitov ordered functionaries to be in touch during New Year holidays

The meeting re fire safety has taken place in the Government RB today. Special fire safety mode is announced in the Republic from the 25th of December 2010 to the 15th of January 2011. As the President RB said, the load on the law-enforcement bodies and housing-communal services traditionally increases many times during New Year holidays. “Weather also can give to surprise but we have to be ready for any case of emergency” – Rustem Khamitov mentioned. The functionaries have to be in touch during the whole New Year season, the President RB stated.

According to state statistics about 200 fires occur exactly in January and as a result 30-35 people appeared lost every year. The main reasons are carelessness and neglect to elementary safety regulations. Rustem Khamitov announced the list of the obligatory measures, including the 24-hour duties in municipalities, guarding of housing and communal services objects, bans on night alcohol sales and raids over local culture and entertaining institutions. “Fire safety is very serious question and we have to intensify wide agitation all around – on TV, in the streets and public transport” – the President RB stated.
