Lenara Ivanova: “Social payments should be more substantial”

“There are about 48 various social payments and subsidies in the Republic for today and this number should be reduced and the amount - increased. Social payments have to be more substantial” – the Minister of labor and population social protection RB Lenara Ivanova stated yesterday in the TV-program “Nonrandom people” on BST-channel – “Beginning from January 1, 2011, the needy families, receiving child allowances, have to confirm their incomes. There are about 300 thousand such families in the Republic today. The families, which spend more than 22% of their incomes for housing and communal services, also have the right for the subsidies but the share of the families, receiving such subsidies, is just 6,1%” – the Minister reported.
