The majority of Salavat citizens say medical treatment from drug addiction and alcoholism has to be compulsory

The majority of Salavat’s citizens believe the treatment from drug addiction and alcoholism has to be compulsory. This is the data, obtained as a result of the sociological investigation “Social-economic problems of Salavat population”, held in November 2010 by the Institute of social-political and legal investigations under the Academy of Sciences RB.

In particular, 82,4% of the respondents said drunkards had to be treated compulsory, 9,6% were against such initiative and 8% were at a loss for the answer.

Answering the question “What is your opinion is it necessary to undertake the compulsory measures to treat the drug addicts?” 81,8% of local citizens answered positively, 7,2% were against and 10,8% found it was difficult to answer this question.
