Social tourists in Bashkiria

The Republican program on development of social tourism will be introduced to the Government of Bashkiria before December 31. This pilot and unique for Russia project is worked up by the state business undertakings and tourism committee RB. The head of the committee Aidar Khalilov told to the BST TV-program “Nonrandom People” that the group of experts, including officials and scientists, was working over the project. Now it is found in the process of agreement. Aidar Khalilov told the audience about key positions of the new project.

“It is planned the Republican budget will allocate about 37-38 million rubles for the tourist permits to elderly people, pensioners and people with disabilities” - he said – “About 60-70% of the permits will cover the tourist routes in Bashkiria and about 20-30% - Russian routes. 10% of permits will be allocated for the trips abroad”.

According to the preliminary calculations about three thousand social tourists may go for trips according to the program and the cost of the most expensive tour can’t exceed 20 thousand rubles. The travelers will pay only 30% of the cost and the rest will be covered by the budget.

It should be noted the President of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov has become the initiator in development of social tourism in the Republic with the approval of the President of Russia Dmitry Medvedev.
