Ramps and special facilities for disabled people are installed in Ufa

Creation of the non-barrier environment for disabled people has become one of the most important challenges in every big settlement and installation of the ramps is the first step in solution of numerous problems of such people. At present time about seven thousand invalids on wheelchairs live in the Republic.

Ufa administration reports the step-by-step work for better availability of social objects for disabled people runs since 2000. Ramps and special facilities for such people are already mounted at 2523 objects of social infrastructure, in dozens shops and drugstores of Ufa. Same facilities are installed at the housing and uninhabitable objects. 132 low-floor buses, designed and produced by JSC “NEFAZ” specially for the convenience of the invalids, work on the city routes.
