Interregional festival of modern and pop choreography “The Wind of Change-2010” starts in Ufa

More than 40 youth groups from Republic of Mari-Al, Sverdlovsk, Kirov, Chelyabinsk, Orenburg and Yaroslavl regions, including competitors and dancers from nearly all Bashkir regions, arrived in Ufa for participation in the interregional festival of modern and pop choreography “The Wind of Change-2010”, the Republican Folk Art Center reports to the news agency “Bashinform”.

The laureate of many international and all-Russian ball dance contests, the art director of the dance theater “Star Express” Vladimir Anukin, also well-known in the country as a permanent member of the jury in the popular TV-show project “Dances with Stars”, is the chairman of the jury.

The nominations of the festival are: modern dance (jazz, modern, contemporary, free plastics), pop dance (show, disco, street dance, stylization) and ball dance (Latin, standard, mixed program and original dance). The festival is organized by the Ministry of culture RB, the Republican Folk Art Center, Ufa administration, the city culture and art department and by the Ufa’s Culture Palace.
