The all-Russian action “10000 children’s kisses” is going on

The charitable action “10000 children’s kisses”, organized by the Fund for support of the children, found in difficult reality situation, is held in Russia.

According to the investigation, held by the Institute of sociology under the Russian Academy of Sciences by the order of the Fund, more than a half of parents admit the use of corporal punishments with respect to children for the purpose of upbringing is quite admissible and as the specialists say, the stereotype, saying that the kid has to be ruled with a rod of iron in order to become a personality, lies at the heart of many family tragedies.

The main goal of the action is attraction of public attention to this serious problem and to claim once again that children have to be educated without violence. The action will last till November 1. Any person may join the photo-gallery of the loving families and send their photos with children’s kisses to the address vmeste@ya-roditel.ru and take part in the photo-contests on the family portals www.nanya.ru, www.gorodmam.ru and on the project’s site www.reporter.rian.ru.

For the reference: 350 children have suffered violence in the families in 2009 in Bashkiria and, for example, only 43 such cases had been registered in 2000. 400 people were deprived of the paternal rights in 2009.

12400 families, found in a difficult reality situation, are registered in Bashkiria at present time. One year ago there were more than 15 thousand of such families.
