10,7 thousand babies have been born in Ufa since the beginning of the year

The rise of birth rate is registered in Ufa. The head of Ufa administration Paul Kachkaev reported on Tuesday that 10,7 thousand kids were born in Ufa within the period between January and September 2010 – by 7,6% more than for the same period of time in 2009.

“We have all grounds to believe that in the nearest future the demographic situation in the city will go on changing for the better” – the Ufa Mayor said – “Along with the newly born babies we register the future mothers too. In 2010 their number has increased by one thousand and it means the birth rate will go on rising”.

At the same time the fact, that the death rate in Ufa increased by 6,6%, as compared with the previous year, arouses serious anxieties both among local medics and the city officials. The abnormally hot summer has gathered its “harvest”. The number of people, died because of the cardio-vascular diseases, has noticeably increased in hot weather.
