The festival of scrappy sewing “KORAMA-TUI” started in Ufa

The Republican scrappy sewing festival “KORAMA-TUI” is opened in the National Art Gallery “Ural”, Ufa, and painters from all regions of Bashkortostan, including the members of the only national scrappy sewing club in the Republic “NADEJDA”, are taking part in it.

“The scrappy sewing festival is traditionally held in the city on the eve of the Republic Day celebration” – the festival’s curator Karima Kaidalova explains – “and this is the jolliest, happiest and the most picturesque festival in the city. Its main goal is the advertising of the Bashkir masters at the Russian and international levels. “KORAMA-TUI-2010” mainly demonstrates the art of the beginning authors, possible participants of the all-Russian festival “The Scrappy Mosaic of Russia”.

The festival will be working till the end of October.
