Today is the World Wild Life Protection Day

The World Wild Life Protection Day was established in 1931 at the international congress of nature protection adherents, held in Florence and that time many societies spoke for uniting of their efforts and supported the idea of annual celebration of the World Wild Life Protection Day on October 4.The ideas concerning protection of animals’ rights were legally formed in many European countries later. For example, the European Union has approved the convention on protection of animals in the course of experiments in 1986 and on protection of domestic animals in 1987.

The World Wild Life Protection Day is celebrated in Russia since 2000 by the initiative of the International Animals Protection Fund and on this day the actions of humanity and the arrangements, aimed at teaching Russian people to careful and responsible attitude to animals, to focusing of people’s attention to the problems of homeless animals and at condemnation of cruel treatment of animals are held in many regions of our huge country.

The department for protection, control and regulation of fauna objects and their habitat under the Ministry of ecology RB is busy with protection and control over the fauna objects in Bashkiria and the same department is engaged in protection of water biological resources in the Republic.
