Ufa will have its own filmfest

In the nearest future Ufa will have its own filmfest. The First open filmfest of the author’s cinema will be held in our city on October 15-17. The organizers of the project – the producer Bulat Usupov, the executive director of the city development Public Foundation Olga Panchikhina and the producer Ramil Tazetdinov told about the forthcoming filmfest in details to the journalists at the press-conference in “Bashinform”.
“Our festival is a social project and “KINOZRENIE” (cinema vision) expresses the turning point in the Russian amateur’s cinematography: socially oriented author’s cinema leaves the flats and announces about its creative potential to the whole country. The forum of such direction among non-professional authors will be held in Russia for the first time” – Bulat Usupov said.
The producer thinks that because of many circumstances there is no prosperous and professional cinematography in Bashkiria.
“At the same time the author’s films, born on the Bashkir land, are rather numerous. The non-commercial cinema is interested with its sincerity and transparency of intentions, so the main concept of our socially oriented festival is “Cinema can change the world for the better” – he said.
“The main idea of our festival is the attraction of public attention to the existing personal, social, common to all mankind, ecological and spiritual problems with the help of our movies” – Olga Panchikhina says – “We believe that any subject-matter can be fully interpreted by the means of the cinema, disclosing it from different angles and demonstrating possible ways of its solution”.
The festival “KINOZRENIE” doesn’t set the aim to estimate and choose the works, considering them from the heights of the academic cinema art, though the festival’s films are divided into six nominations. The out-of-competition and special retrospective programs are scheduled too.
More detailed information about the festival can be found on the site www.kinozrenie.ru.
