Regional conference, devoted to problems of dialects in the languages of Russian nations, is held in Ufa

“The actual problems in dialectology of the languages of the nations in Russia” – this is the theme of the X regional conference, opened in Ufa. It is organized by the Institute of Linguistics under the Russian Academy of sciences, the Ufa Scientific Center under the Russian Academy of sciences, the Institute of history, language and literature RB, the Academy of sciences RB, the Ministry of education RB, the state languages council RB, the Public Chamber RB and by the Assembly of Bashkortostan’s Nations.

The forum is discussing the problems of Turk, Slavic and Finno-Ugric dialectology, the prospects of studying the dialects in Bashkir language and teaching native and state languages. Presentation of the books of Bashkir dialectologists, recently published, is held within the frames of the conference.
