The film “The Wind Catcher” is the prize-winner of the international filmfest

The film “The Wind Catcher” is marked at the VI Kazan international Muslim filmfest. The last wide-scaled project of the film studio “Bashkortostan” with the popular Russian actor Marat Basharov starring is rewarded for the best motion picture’s script.
The VI Kazan international Muslim filmfest was held in the capital of Tatarstan since September 16. The festival gathered the cinematographers from 28 countries, including Iran, Saudi Arabia, India, the USA, the Great Britain and France. The festival’s program consisted of 51 films: 14 full-length, 10 short-length films and 10 animated cartoons. Solemn closure of the festival has taken place on Sunday, September 19 and the Hollywood star Adrian Brody, the producer Sergey Soloviev and the actor Oleg Tabakov were the VIP-guests of the festival, the news agency “Tatar-Inform” reports.
The winners were traditionally announced on the last day. Thus, the Kazan’s theater and cinema actress Firdaus Akhtyamova (the film “Bibinur” – Russia, Tatarstan) is the winner in the nomination “The best feminine role”. The prize for the best male role is given to Bakhadyr Boltaev (the film “The Guest Worker” (Russia-Uzbekistan). The film “Bibinur” has become the best feature film in opinion of the jury. The special prize of the President of Tatarstan “For humanism in art” is given to the film “Bilal” (India). The participants of the festival have also divided several other prizes between themselves – the people’s choice award, the award for the best producer’s work, the prize for the best script, for the best cameraman’s work etc.
