Professor from Ufa is honored with the Bulgarian Award

The Professor of the Bashkir State University Leonid Valisiev is rewarded with the jubilee medal “The 65th anniversary of the Victory over fascism” by the National Committee under the patronage of the President and the Supreme-Commander-in-Chief of Bulgaria, the executive director of the friendship society “Bashkortostan-Bulgaria” Tatiana Korobova reported.

Leonid Vasiliev is well known in the Slavonic circles not only in Russia but abroad too. He is an honorable Academician of the Academy of Sciences RB, the honorable employee of the higher professional education RB, the honorable scientist RB and the honorable Professor of the Bashkir State University. He made high contribution to popularization of the Bulgarian language in our country. Leonid Vasiliev is the author of numerous translations from the Bulgarian language into Russia and from Russian into Bulgarian of well-known poets and writers. During many years he teaches the students-philologists of the Bashkir State University to the Bulgarian language.
