The seminar for cardiologists started working in Ufa

The seminar “The news of cardiology: recommendations and standards of treatment of arterial hypertension and ischemic heart disease” started working in Ufa. Its solemn opening has taken place on Thursday in the Congress-Hall and the lectures of leading Moscow specialists, where cardiologists, cardiovascular surgeons, therapeutists, general practitioners and district doctors all over the Republic are invited to, will be held there too.

The Minister of health protection RB Andre Evsukov has taken the floor with the words of welcome before the participants of the forum.

“The regional division of the Russian Medical Society for arterial hypertension successfully functions in our Republic for several years and we say many thanks to you for your help and backing” – The head of the Ministry of health protection RB said, addressing himself to the organizers and presenters of the seminar – the Professors Irene Chazova and Olga Ostroumova.

The Minister has also mentioned the natality is observed in Bashkortostan for the first time for the last years. In 2009 it was equal to 2369 people.

At the same time the index of cardiovascular sickness rate among adult population remains rather high in the Republic, making up 32%, i.e. one million 36 thousand people. 42% of these people suffer from the arterial hypertension and 22% - from the ischemic heart disease.

“It means the arterial hypertension still remains the most wide-spread cardiovascular disease” – the Minister said and added the Republican goal-oriented program “Arterial Hypertension” for 2009-2013 was successfully realized in Bashkortostan with the purpose to improve diagnostics, treatment and prophylactics of cardiovascular diseases.
