Ufa to host the 10th regional dialectology conference

The 10th regional conference devoted to urgent dialectology problems of peoples of Russia will take place on September 22 at the House of State Council - Kurultay RB in Ufa. Its organizers are the Linguistics Institute of the Russian Academy of Science, Ufa Scientific Centre of the Russian Academy of Science, the RB Academy of Science, the RB Ministry of Education, the RB State Languages Council, the RB Public Chamber, the Assembly of Nations of Bashkortostan.

The scientific forum will discuss the problems of Turkic, Slavonic, Finno-Ugric dialectology, the prospects of study of Bashkir dialects and teaching native and state languages in the context of dialect. Linguists of not only Bashkortostan, but of other Russian regions will participate in discussion of topical dialectology problems. Conference application forms were received from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Izhevsk, Cheboksary.
