Sibay celebrated its 55th anniversary

Sibay has finished celebrating its 55th anniversary. The deputy Prime Minister of the RB Government Ilshat Tazhitdinov, the Minister of Youth Policy and Sports Alexander Nikerin, State Council deputies Elvira Yunusova, Gayaz Sharipov, Rinat Nagaev, the deputy head of Magnitogorsk Administration Sergey Kimaykin, heads of regions of the Bashkir Trans-Urals and other guests of honour took part in the festivities.

The celebrations started with children's holidays organized on the playgrounds near newly built houses in Bulyakov Street and Industrial Highway. Sibay residents and guest of the city took great interest in children's sabantuy. Apart from traditional sports and national games and contests, it included a contest of perambulators, beauty contest and Young Family contest.

The sports program included the final duels of the Trans-Urals Cup on kuresh, the city volleyball championship, kettlebell lifting competition, boxing, kickboxing, streetball, track-and-field and other events. The audience was very much impressed with the exhibition performance on trampoline.

The great dramatized show "I am Proud of You, My Sibay!" was demonstrated on the central stage of the stadium. The traditional ceremony of awarding of the best workers of the city, celebration in honour of labour veterans also took place there. The head of the Fame Hall and Front-Line Friends Club Natalia Kodakova and high achiever of public education and honoured teacher of the BASSR Ramazan Utyagulov were awarded the title of the Honoured Citizen of Sibay City.

Festivities at the stadium were finished with the concert of professional song and dance companies and amateur talent groups.

The Fiancées' Parade organized in front of the City Wedding Palace became a real surprise. It gathered more than 50 participants who not only walked along the central streets of the city, but also participated in the improvised heat, fashion parade and dance show that aroused storm of cheers of the viewers.
