The blues festival starts in the Bashkir State Philharmonic Society

Big City Blues International Festival started on Thursday, September 9, in Ufa. It will be held in the Bashkir State Philharmonic Society and will last for two days.

As Bashinform News Agency already reported, the ideologist and inspirer of this big jazz holiday became the leader of Blues Doctors Band (Yekaterinburg) Vladimir Demyanov.

Blues Doctors is a strong team playing rhythm-and-blues in English. Its repertoire includes classical blues numbers and original compositions. The musicians have great experience of work in clubs, open grounds and concert halls.

The legend of the Russian blues Sergey Voronov, the leader of Cross Roadz that is the first Russian blues band is also invited to the festival.

Another present for Ufa music lovers is participation of Giya Dzagnidze and Modern Blues Band in the festival.

Modern Blues Band is one of the most popular blues bands in Russia. For a rather short course of its existence, the band has managed to do the main thing that is to capture the hearts of connoisseurs of blues.

And, of course, the blues festival won't do without Boogie Band, the favourite band of our capital. The band's history starts in autumn of 1998. The basis of its repertoire is made by cover versions of famous English rock and blues hits and songs of their own composition. Now the band's leader is the popular musician Rustam Asanbaev.
