The capital of the Trans-Urals is preparing for its 55th anniversary
On September 10-11, the residents of Sibay will celebrate the 55th anniversary of their native city.
Different sports and public events will take in Sibay on these days. The major events are a regional tournament on kuresh national wrestling dedicated to the memory of the Hero of the Soviet Union General Tagir Kusimov, volleyball competitions and other contests.
The review competition of retro transport will be organized in the city for the first time. Residents and guests of the city will see old models of bicycles, motorcycles and cars (Gaz-21, Pobeda, Izh-49 and other rare cars that were in use for many years).
The members of Retro Group, the organizers of the unusual exhibition, consider that people must be proud of such machinery. That is why it should not stand idle in garages, but must be shown to those who are interested in history of the Soviet country.
For reference use. Sibay is situated at the junction of Europe and Asia, where the eastern foothills of the Southern Urals pass into the immense West Siberian Plain.
Now Sibay is an industrial, educational and cultural centre. It is the main traffic centre of the Bashkir Trans-Urals. The population of the city is more than 67 thousand people.
