A meeting with youth leaders from Bulgaria took place in Ufa
A meeting with youth leaders from Bulgaria who came to our republic to participate in "I Am a Citizen" Summer Camp organized by the Young Guard of the United Russia Party took place today in Bashkortostan-Bulgaria Friendship Society in Ufa.
For participation in the work of the Summer Camp, Juliet Nedyalkova, the head of internal policy department of the Zemlya newspaper, and Iliya Medvedevskikh, the representative of the students' diplomatic club of Sofia University and the RF Embassy in Bulgaria, arrived in Ufa. Together with the members of the Young Guard they participate in all seminars and training sessions held in the Camp and express confidence that these will surely do good to them.
Representatives of Bulgarian youth were much impressed with the yesterday's meeting with the President of Bashkortostan Republic Rustem Khamitov. They especially liked the intention of the President to develop Alpine skiing and tourism in the Republic. Young people believe that Bashkortostan has all necessary conditions and prospects for it.
According to Iliya Medvedevskikh and Juliet Nedyalkova, there are many youth public associations like the Young Guard in Bulgaria now. They function almost under every political party. The most advanced of them are youth movements under parliamentary parties, which number about seven in all.
Famous doctors and lecturers of Ufa universities came to the meeting with representatives of Bulgarian youth. They discussed the possibilities of work on student exchange programs, prospects of tourism development in Bashkortostan and foundation of joint Bulgarian and Russian medical centres.
Today young people from Bulgaria will go on a sightseeing tour around Ufa and meet with the writer Mikhail Chvanov. After that, they will return to the Camp, which will go on working until August 9.
