Emergency medical service became more effective

The work of emergency medical service has become more effective. This was reported by Alfia Avzaletdinova, the acting head of the public health department of Ufa Administration, at the daily briefing with the mayor devoted to results of the activity of municipal health institutions in the first half of 2010.
According to her, the number of calls has been considerably reduced over the indicated period due to the reduction of misdirected calls, ambulance cars come to the scenes of road accidents 2.5 times faster, the system of satellite transport monitoring integrated with automated control system is introduced.
Emergency care posts were organized in clinics of the city last year; 260 thousand people were served there for six months, which also helped to relieve substantially emergency medical service.
"The total amount of emergency calls for six months came to 167.6 for one thousand of residents, whereas for the same period last year it reached 186.3," Alfia Avzaletdinova said.
The head of Ufa Administration Paul Kachkaev noted that despite the evident progress in the work of emergency medical service, it still has certain problems. In particular, he mentioned that the staffing issues and problem of salaries must be handled in the second half of the current year.
