Firefighters are saving the South Ural Reserve from fire
16 new islands of fire with the total area of 291 hectares arose on the territory of the republic during the past twenty-four hours. Firefighters managed to extinguish seven of them. According to the current data provided by the Chief Directorate of the RF Ministry of Emergency Situations for Bashkortostan, there are still 15 natural fires on the territory of 241 hectares, all of them are contained.
On August 3, grass and shrubs on the hillside in the South Ural Reserve caught fire. Firefighters from Inzer and Mezhgorie together with the workers of the Ministry of Forestry were involved in extinguishing. The fire is creeping, only grass and underbrush are on fire. Owing to joint efforts, the fire was contained on the territory of three hectares by this morning, and throughout the day, it is going to be fully extinguished.
