Five dangerous natural phenomena are registered in Bashkortostan

Specialists in hydrometeorology registered five dangerous natural phenomena at once on the territory of Bashkortostan. They are soil and air drought, dry hot wind, extreme fire hazard and low water period.

The precipitation deficit in the region put in jeopardy not only agricultural industry, but also industrial sphere. Low water period indicates to the low level of water in rivers. According to Bashhydromed, the lowest river stage is registered in the Belaya at three posts at once. Such shoaling has never been registered over the whole history of observation that is since 1875.

Owing to the work of major regional reservoirs, this dangerous phenomenon does not affect the potable water storage in the region, but it may affect navigation. Small springs dry up; wells run out of water in residential places.

Extensive rains are necessary to defuse the tension. Meanwhile, the weather in the region won't change considerably within the next ten days. It will still be dry and hot.
