The all-Russian congress “Social protection of the generations: Russian family, children, youth, veterans” to be held in Ufa

The plenary session of the all-Russian congress “Social protection of the generations: Russian family, children, youth, veterans” will take place in Ufa on May 14 in the Ministry of labor and population social protection RB with the participation of the representatives of executive and legislative power branches RB and other Russian regions, experts in sphere of social policy, business representatives, mass-media, public and religious communities, scientists, and students from scientific institutions of Russia, Bashkortostan, CIS and non-CIS countries.

The congress will be held in six thematic directions: social protection of veterans of war and home front; Russian family; the strategy of survival during the crisis; the role of “the third generation” in education of youth; children and youth as the object of social policy; social worlds of different generations; the experience of elder generation and modern youth; family policy and social-demographic processes in Russia.

According to the executive director of the regional division of the national public committee “Russian Family”, the director of the Russian State Social University’s Ufa office Rustem Achmadinurov Bashkortostan accumulated solid experience in sphere of social protection of the most vulnerable layers of population – children, youth, veterans, young families and in solution of the demographic problems and the usage of this experience would be quite important for other Russian regions.

“The holding of the all-Russian congresses to the family topics is becoming traditional for the scientific community of Bashkortostan” – he said – “This congress is already the fourth. The first one to the topic “Family relations in the poly-ethnic environment” has been held three years ago in 2007 within the frames of the social forum jointly with the regional division of the political party “United Russia” and was dated to the 450th anniversary of Bashkiria free-will joining Russia. The second congress to the theme “Consolidation of a family is the base for solution of demographic problems” has taken place in 2008 within the frames of the Year of family social support in RB. The third forum “Young family in the social space of a big city” was held within the frames of the actions, devoted to the Youth Year in Russia and to the Year for support and development of youth initiatives in Bashkortostan. And this congress is held within the frames of the 65th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War and initiated by the regional division of the national public committee “Russian Family”, the Ufa division of the Russian State Social University and by the chair of sociology and social technologies of the Ufa State Aviation Technical University”.
