Days of Polish culture to be held in Bashkortostan

The Days of Polish culture, devoted to the 200th anniversary of the famous Polish composer and musician Frederick Chopin, will be held within the frames of the Days of Slavic literature and culture in Bashkortostan on May 14-17.
The action is organized by the Center of Polish culture and enlightenment RB “Revival” jointly with the Ministry of culture and national politics RB, the Nations Friendship House RB, the philological faculty of the Bashkir State Pedagogical University by Miftahetdin Akmullah, the chair of the general and comparative linguistics of the Bashkir State University and by the National Polish Sunday School by Albert Penkevitch.
It is expected the delegation from the town of Oletsko, Republic of Poland, headed by its Mayor Vaclav Olshevsky will take part in the action.
The Days’ program includes the concert of Polish classical music and the memory evening party of one of the founders of the Polish Center RB, doctor of philology Julia Chumakova.
The meeting with the descendants of the Poles – the citizens of the village Voldziki “Polish family: yesterday, today and tomorrow” and presentation of the exhibition “Live Polish Folklore” are planned in the village Oktyabrsky, Ufimsky region RB.
The representatives of scientific circles will discuss “The aspects of Polish language teaching in Russia and Russian language in Poland: experience, problems and prospects”.
