National library RB will take part in the international conference in Azerbaijan

The National Library RB by Achmet-Zaki Validi is invited to Azerbaijan for participation in the international scientific-practical conference. It will be held on April 29-30 at the Azerbaijan’s National Library by M.F. Akhundov within the frames of Achmet-Zaki Validi Year, announced in the TURKSOY countries in 2010 and dated to the 120th anniversary of this prominent orientalist.

As the deputy director of the National Library RB Razil Bikbulatov reported, they intend to bring the exhibition of books, devoted to life and creation of Achmet-Zaki Validi to Azerbaijan. In a whole about 70 copies and originals of both pre-revolutionary and modern editions will be taken there.

Activists of science and culture from Turkey, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan and Crimea are invited to the conference, organized by TURKSOY, Azerbaijan’s Ministry of culture and tourism, the Azerbaijani National Library and by the Institute of oriental sciences under the National Academy of sciences of Azerbaijan.

“Along with the exhibition the employees of our library will make the reports about role and place of national libraries in preservation of the national-cultural heritage, including the scientific heritage of Achmet-Zaki Validi” – Razil Bikbulatov mentioned.
