March for Parks 2010 to be held in Bashkortostan

According to the order of the RB Government, the March for Parks will be held in Bashkortostan on April 21-24.

This action has annually been held since 1996. Its aim is to involve people in environmental activity and to arouse in them pride and responsibility for the beauty of our nature. Environmental actions on protection of the first blooming plants, cleaning of natural forests and woodland parks, collection of waste in the streets and yards and planting of greenery will be organized this year within the framework of the March for Parks.

According to the press service of the RB Ministry of Ecology, educational institutions of the republic will organize ecological lessons, discussions and lecturers about the necessity of nature preservation, biological diversity and natural areas of preferential protection. Videos of social significance that will be broadcasted on Ufa video walls, a research and practice conference, and exhibitions of drawings devoted to the biodiversity as the Earth living base will be devoted to this action.

The State nature reserves, the Bashkiria national park, natural parks, children's ecological organizations will take an active part in the action.

The RB Ministry for Nature Management and Ecology will announce the results of the March for Parks until June 1, 2010.

All the residents of the republic may participate in the action. It makes great contribution to the common cause of our nature preservation, gives the rising generation an idea of the natural diversity of plants, animals, mushrooms, the unique value of conservation districts, develops solicitous and responsible attitude to native land.
