Bashkir-German educational forum "The Week of German Language" to be held in Bashkortostan

The Bashkir-German educational forum "The Week of German Language" will be held on April 12-17 in Bashkortostan. The initiators of the event are the "Bashkortostan-Germany" Russian-German friendship society, the Republic's Association of German Teachers, Lecturers and Students of Bashkortostan.

According to the organizers, the forum that is held this year for the fifth time is aimed at arousing and support of the interest to the German language and culture in our republic.

A whole series of educational events, such as a research and practice conference, where modern language teaching methods and techniques will be discussed, days of German language in Ufa educational institutions, contests among schoolchildren and students, will take place. The entertainment program includes a festival of German movies in the Rodina Cinema, German song festival, a photo exhibition and a concert.

The final event of the forum will be the round table under the name "German language in Bashkortostan: experience and prospects. Possibilities for cooperation with intermediary cultural organizations".

The Week of German Language will take place with the assistance of the RB Ministry of Education, the republic's Committee for UNESCO affairs, the embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Moscow, the Goethe German Cultural Centre (Moscow), the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and other Russian and German organizations.
