Over 20 Ufa residents were awarded for their contribution to socio-economic development of the city

Professional Excellence Awards Ceremony took place in Ufa Administration yesterday. The deputy chairman of the City Council Salavat Kuvatov presented awards to those Ufa residents who made a major contribution to social and economic development of the city.

"In person of these people we honour the whole city," he said in his speech before the audience. "The past year was very difficult for us. The consequences of the financial crisis complicated the realization of many projects. Nevertheless, in 2009 as before, the city target programmes were successfully realized and great progress was made in spiritual and cultural spheres. This year we face many tasks such as proper celebration of the 65th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War, organization of the events within the framework of the Teacher's Year in Russia and the Year of the Republic in Bashkortostan."

The services of Beina Akhmetova, Doctor of Medicine, professor of hospital therapy department of the Bashkir State Medical University, and Nina Shkolnik, the real estate manager of "Tsentr Nedvizhimosti" (Real Estate Centre) specialized municipal institution, were highlighted with the highest awards - the Honorary Certificates of Ufa city and badges to them.

21 more people got the Honorary Certificates of Ufa Council. Workers of transport enterprises, food service companies, direct production workers, doctors, teachers, engineers, business managers were among the awardees.
