Dancing Championship of Bashkortostan gathered about 900 participants

About 900 participants, 40 dancing groups among them, competed in dancing on the 1st Open Dancing Championship of Bashkortostan that took place in the Congress Hall.
Ildus Ilishev, the deputy Prime Minister of the RB Government, Minister for Culture and National Policy, was the special guest of the Championship.
Dancers of all ages struggled for the title of the best in this occupation during the whole day. The contests started on 9AM. They demonstrated their skill in different styles from folk and classical dancing to hip-hop.
The jury consisted of highly experienced and impartial judges from Mordivia, Togliatti, Samara and Ufa. They estimated dancing technique, image and composition of a dance. This rating system of estimation was the guarantee of objectivity.
The member of Togliatti Dancing Club "Duet" Elena Kotovskaya has never been to Ufa before, although according to her, their group participated in many all-Russian festivals and championships.
"Ufa brought luck to us," she said without hiding her joy. "We took the first place in the style called "Dancing show", in the category "Juniors. Solo-girls". I liked the Congress Hall very much. The conditions are perfect. I think such events are very important as they give us an opportunity to get acquainted with other dancing groups and exchange experience."
"Our republic is among 64 regions that make the all-Russia dancing organization," Svetlana Kapitonova, the president of the RB Variety and Modern Dance Federation, member of the dancing show committee for Volga Federal District, judge of the second category, told. "That is why we have been thinking about organizing the dancing championship since long ago. I think this day will certainly go down in history and the region will soon start to host area and national contests. I was glad to see familiar groups and get acquainted with the new ones. We were especially happy with the fact that dancing groups representing other regions participated in this championship."
