Famous small arms designer Michail Kalashnikov is on vacation in Bashkortostan

The legendary person, Michail Timofeevich Kalashnikov is again having rest in Yangan-Tau ('the burning mountain') Health Resort. The chief small arms designer of our country, president of the Russian Gunsmiths' Union, consultant of the general manager of the Rosvoenexport, twice the Hero of Socialist Labour, and the Hero of the Russian Federation will meet Defender of the Motherland Day in hospitable Bashkortostan.

Despite his advanced age, the outstanding gunsmith leads an active life, writes books. Michail Kalashnikov expressed his admiration with Bashkortostan and Yangan-Tau Health Resort. According to his own confession, he acquainted himself with the healing phenomenon of the 'Burning Mountain' several years ago and now comes here with great pleasure. "Your land is wonderful," he said. "I fell in love with the virginal beauty of Bashkir nature. Having rest here is real pleasure." He spoke with special warmth and gratitude about the workers of the health resort.
