Vancouver-2010: Russian prize-winners may earn well

The XXI winter Olympic Games in Vancouver will start in seven days. The Russian national team consists of 179 athletes – one sportsman more than at the previous Olympic Games in Turin. 86 sets of medals events will be held on 14 kinds of sports. Our compatriots will take part in 77 kinds of sports.

Winners and prize-owners of the Olympic Games in Vancouver will receive worthy bounty: 100 thousand EUR for “gold”, and 60 and 40 thousand EUR – for “silver” and “bronze” correspondingly. Besides, the “Russian Olympic Support Fund” made the decision to reward Russian winners with cars additionally. Along with it the leading sport federations set their own prizes for their sportsmen – 50-100 thousand dollars and every Russian region will traditionally pay to their compatriots too. It should be mentioned that 11 people will present our Republic at the Olympic Games in Canada.
