Schoolchildren of Bashkortostan will compete in their knowledge of information technologies

99 gifted schoolchildren having passed successfully the school and municipal rounds of the All-Russian Schoolchildren Competition in IT and ICT will gather in Salavat for participation in the regional round. The opening ceremony will take place on January 21. The competition will consist of two rounds.

We would remind you that the regional round of the All-Russian Schoolchildren Competition started right after the winter holidays. According to the RB Ministry of Education, 2 700 pupils of comprehensive schools of Bashkortostan participate in it this year. The competition in information technologies is the 11th contest of the intellectual marathon in succession. By the way, the first IT competition was held in Sverdlovsk in 1988. It was called the all-USSR competition then and 80 schoolchildren from all the union republics took part in it.

Teachers consider that such events help children not only to receive objective estimation of their knowledge but also to gain qualities that will stand them in good stead in the future.
