Needy veterans of war will be supplied with housing

All veterans of the Great Patriotic War and members of the families of the deceased invalids and veterans of the Great Patriotic War have to be supplied with dwelling.

The decree of the Russian President about provision of veterans of the Great Patriotic War 1941-1945 with housing is altered and it is said in the amendment that it is necessary to provide all veterans and members of the families of lost veterans, who need improvement of their living conditions, with housing and not just the persons of the abovementioned categories, registered before March 1, 2005, as it was set before. Besides, the deadline (May1, 2010), before which it was necessary to provide the veterans and members of their families with housing, is excluded from the decree.

As the deputy Minister of labor and population social protection RB Natalie Almaeva reported to “Bashinform”, 393 veterans of the Great Patriotic War have been provided with housing at the expense of the federal budget in 2009 (in a whole 70 veterans have received new flats within the period between 2005 and 2008). The deputy Minister underscored that all veterans of the Great Patriotic War and members of the families of the deceased invalids and participants of the war, registered before March 1, 2005, will be supplied with dwelling before May 1, 2010, in accordance with the decree of the President RF.
