Bashkortostan is ready for the second wave of flu

The situation with seasonal flu is currently stable in Bashkortostan. As of January 11, 2010, the epidemic was 20% lowered. About 30% of the population that is more than 1 159 000 people is already inoculated against flu. 359 thousand people are vaccinated for the means of municipal institutions, enterprises and organizations.

We would remind that top priority in vaccination was given to medical and social workers, schoolchildren and students aged 18 and older. Chronic and immunocompromised patients can get vaccination now.

The second wave of seasonal flu is expected from the end of January. According to the RB Ministry of Health, it should not be a matter of great concern for the population. The Republic has enough supply of antiviral medications.
