Funds of Bashkir libraries will be filled up with new books for blind children

The action on presentation of special books for blind children to the funds of Bashkir libraries will take place on December 22 at the Bashkir Republican special library for the blinds.

The books were purchased fr om the regional charitable public fund “Illustrated books for small blind children” at the expense of the Republican budget. 784 thousand rubles was appropriated for that and that was enough for 800 copies of the books.

“These books are issued specially taking the psychology and perception of small blind kids into consideration” – the deputy director of the Bashkir Republican special library for the blinds Vera Panteleeva explained – “But these wonderful books have one disadvantage – the cost. Manual labor, special polygraph technologies and lim ited circulation – all that raises the final price so this gift of Government RB to Republican libraries is really valuable and quite in time”.
