Ildus Ilishev: journalism should be aimed at creation

“It looks symbolically that the media-forum is held on the hippodrome, called “AKBUZAT” – the deputy Prime-Minister of Government RB, Minister of culture and national politics RB Ildius Ilishev said, welcoming the participants of the journalist media-forum in Ufa – “Because “AKBUZAT” means the winged racer, riding high into the air and overcoming all distances and journalism should aimed upwards and at creation too”.

Ildus Ilishev laid the emphasis in his speech on consolidation of unity of the multinational Russian population, pointing to the influence of Russian mass-media upon formation of public opinion and this influence had to be used in struggle with such phenomena as xenophobia and extremism.

73% of people preach Islam in Bashkortostan and they rather painfully respond to publications in the press concerning Islamic extremism so journalists have to be very careful with such publications.

Ildus Ilishev also turned the attention of the forum’s participants that negative news dominated in Russian mass-media and especially in online mass-media. From this point of view Bashkortostan favorably differs, Ildus Ilishev said and cited the Bashkir satellite TV, which tried to show the life of working people, as an example.

At the same time Ildus Ilishev complained about absence of serious analytical publications in Russian mass-media. In completion he wished the media-forum successful work.
