Vaccination campaign started in Bashkortostan

Citizens of Bashkortostan may inoculate themselves from the flu A/H1N1 from today, November 8. But people from the risk group will be inoculated first of all: medical and social employees and students, older than 18. Situation with the pig flu in the Republic is stable for today: the level of sickness rate goes down and for the last two week no lethal outcomes have been registered.

In August 2009 the Government RB reached the decision to purchase the anti-virus preparations for the sum of 10 million rubles. After the situation with the pig flu started becoming worse (from the end of October) the Government appropriated additionally 32 million rubles: 10 million – for medicines and 22 million –for purchases of the units for artificial ventilation of lungs.

More than 1,1 million people are already inoculated against the seasonal flu in Bashkortostan and this step prevented appearance of heavy forms of the disease and allowed providing the drop of the sickness rate. The number of sick people in Ufa doesn’t exceed the epidemic threshold now.
