More than 5400 crimes in sphere of illegal drug circulation was disclosed in Bashkortostan in 2009

For ten months of 2009 5483 crimes in sphere of illegal drug circulation have been disclosed in Republic of Bashkortostan – by 664 crimes more than for the same period of time in 2008. The news-service of the Federal Drug Circulation Control Dept RB reports the Republican drug police has disclosed 2414 crimes – 467 crimes more than in 2008.The news-service also reports as a result of the undertaken measures on disclosure of the drug traffic channels from nearby Russian regions and from abroad the number of drug substances, removed by the drug police from illegal circulation, substantially increased. In particular, the law-enforcement bodies RB arrested 605kg of drugs – 357 kg more than in 2008.

The drug circulation control service actively works over liquidation of the drug contraband channels to the territory of Bashkortostan. As a result of liquidation of two such channels 11 people were taken to the court, including seven citizens of Azerbaijan.
