Rail Sarbaev: situation with flu epidemic is under control

Autumn holidays of Ufa pupils will be prolonged for one week more and this decision is made in connection with the flu epidemic, which started in the country already in October. The quarantine is announced when the epidemic threshold is exceeded by 23%.

“This index is equal to 15,7% now in Ufa but we decided not to wait for the aggravation of the situation. The practice shows that such preventive measures are quite efficient: after the study at our institutes were stopped for one week, the number of patients, coming to the clinics with the flu symptoms, noticeably reduced” – the Prime-Minister of Government RB Rail Sarbaev stated today.

On November 1 6898 people, sick with flu, was registered in Ufa and children, aged under 18, made more than a half of this number.

The autumn holidays will be prolonged still only in Ufa but if the situation in other regions becomes worse, the quarantine will be announced there too.

“The situation with flu is found under control” – Rail Sarbaev stated.

The pharmaceutical network of the Republic is ready to meet the epidemic: there is the necessary reserve of anti-flu preparations and other medicines.
