First lethal outcome of pandemic flu is registered in Ufa

25-year old man died of pandemic flu on November 3 in Ufa.
According to the Directorate of the Russian Agency for Health and Consumer Rights, the man sought medical advice only on the third day after he fell ill.
"He was not inoculated against flu," a source from the Directorate told us, "He first took outpatient treatment, then he was brought to the hospital. He died on the 10th day from the moment he fell ill of generalized double-sided viral and bacterial pneumonia complicated with infectious-toxic shock.
Investigation of this case and counter epidemic actions are going on.
Nowadays, there are six laboratory-confirmed pandemic flu cases in the republic; five of them are imported.
