Wildlife of Bashkortostan is in focus

Wildlife of Bashkortostan Exhibition opened on Tuesday in the National Museum RB. The best works of amateur photographers, the participants of the first republican photo competition "Wildlife of Bashkortostan", are represented there. Among the authors of the exposition, there are such masters of photo art as Sergey Stepanov, Rustem Khakimov, Andrey Koretnev, Oleg Menkov and others.

According to the jury member Alexander Volkov, the worker of the South Ural State Natural Park, the photo exhibition and the competition "Wildlife of Bashkortostan" are not accidental. This is a planned long-term action, promoting conservation of unique wildlife of our republic as a guarantee of ecological stability.

Despite the fact that this competition was announced only in April, about 50 amateur photographers participated in it. The total amount of photos sent to the competition site www.prirodarb.ru comes to 630. The jury recommended 150 of them for printing, and only 100 photos got an opportunity to be exhibited in the National Museum RB. 15 authors became prize-winners of the competition. All of them received recognition gifts and the right to take photos on the territory of wilderness areas and natural parks of the republic.

"This exposition has not only a high aesthetic, but also a deep educative meaning," Gali Valiullin, the director of the National Museum RB, pointed out, "It teaches us and our guests to love nature, our native Bashkortostan."
