Personal archive of the narrator is given to the Central State Archives of Public Associations RB

The festive event devoted to the creation of the personal fund of Shahargazi Gabdiev, the famous Bashkir narrator, took place in the Central State Archives of Public Associations RB. The honoured worker of popular education, journalist and writer Azamat Tazhetdinov gave these documents to the Archives. The fund of the Archives was replenished with materials on history of the republic, folklore, ethnography, etymology, genealogy, toponymy and also with correspondence of the narrator with famous Bashkir writers, poets and scientists.

Shahargazi Gabdiev was born in 1898. He participated in many wars. The narrator was subjected to repression and constructed Belomorcanal for seven years as the enemy of the people. He was a teacher, wrote verses devoted to historic events of the country and Bashkortostan or to everyday occasions of his home village. His creative work is not widely known and studied mainly by scientists and students. The narrator died in 1979.

Accepting the invaluable manuscripts Julai Yuldashbaev, the director of the Archives, mentioned that giving such documents to the custody of the state is a very important event. He expressed his hope that others will follow the example of Azamat Tazhetdinov, as the archives today is national heritage and such documents should be kept in the archives to be useful for those interested in history and culture of their homeland.
