Kitap Publishing House celebrates its 90th anniversary

Today Bashortostan's Kitap Publishing House n.a. Zainab Biisheva is celebrating its 90th anniversary. Former and present employees of the publishing house, public members, writers and journalists, readers gathered for the celebration in the Bashkir State Academic Drama Theatre.

Selling exhibition of book output of Kitap Publishing House was organized in the hall of the ground floor. Famous Bashkir artists prepared a celebratory concert.

The Deputy Minister of Government RB, Minister for Culture and National Policy Ildus Ilishev warmly congratulated all those present on the anniversary. He made a special mention of the great role of Kitap in development of publishing industry in our republic, in issuing literature in Bashkir and formation of norms of literary Bashkir language. The publishing house also made a considerable contribution to translation of classics of Russian literature, publishing textbooks and learner's guides.

Now, book output published here meets all the world standards of book-publishing industry. But as Ildus Ilishev reminded, not so long ago, in the 90s of the last century publications of the premium class needed to be ordered abroad.

Kitap also received congratulations from the Head of Administration for Press, Publishing and Printing Industry under Government RB Eduard Yuldashev, the chairman of Writers' Union RB, people's poet of Bashkortostan Ravil Bikbaev, the director of Tatar book publishing house Damir Shakirov and others.
