VI republican festival of young journalists is going on in Ufa

Republican festival of young journalists is held in Ufa for the sixth time. This year the festival will take place under the sign of the Youth year, and in our republic - the Year of support and development of youth leads. Mass media representatives not older than 35 will take part in it.

The total number of journalists coming to the festival is 50.

The event's organizers are Administration for press, publishing and printing industry under RB Government and the Bashkir journalists' union under the auspices of the Ministry for youth policy, sports and tourism RB.

The festival has started today with laying flowers to the monument of Shagit Khudaiberdin, the eminent state and public figure, the talented Bashkir publicist and writer. Here the main events of the first day will take place.

The chairman of the Bashkir journalist's union Farit Akhmadiev delivered an opening speech for participants.

The festival's program is rather rich. There will be a discussion club on the subject "Which newspaper a reader prefers?", a circular table devoted to "Finance and press" theme with participation of a National bank RB representative, master classes. Journalists of publications, coming out in Russian, Bashkir and Tatar languages will separately discuss linguistic and stylistic problems and after that all together - newspapers' and magazines' design issues.

On September 18 in the recreation centre "Tan" there will be a meeting with representatives of Administration for press, publishing and printing industry under RB Government and Ministry for youth policy, sports and tourism RB. The awarding ceremony of journalists giving broad coverage of young people's life will also take place here.

There are more than one thousand members in the Baskir journalists' union now. It is of the largest creative unions in Russia. People not older than 35 are a quarter of all members of the Bashkir journalists' union.
