Uzbekistan takes the first place by number of migrant workers in Bashkortostan

Uzbekistan is on the first place by number of migrant workers in Bashkortostan. That is what the deputy head of Department of the Federal Migration Service for RB Khamit Nafikov reported at the yesterday's field session of Social advisory council of RF for RB under DFMS RB.

More than 14 thousand people out of 27.8 thousand foreigners working today in Bashkortostan came here from Uzbekistan. Most of them are engaged in construction (over 6 thousand people), agriculture (3.7 thousand people), and commercial activity (over 2 thousand people).

Vietnam takes the second place by number of migrant workers in Bashkortostan (over 4 thousand people), Tadjikistan is the third one (over 3 thousand people). There are also many migrant workers from Azerbaijan, Turkey, Armenia, Kyrgyzstan, Serbia, Ukraine, and China.
