English language and leadership training camp is opened in Ufa with assistance of the US Embassy

Children fr om families with scanty means in Ufa get a chance to study English language and to train practical leadership skills in special camp. The camp was solemnly opened today at Ufa Bashkir gymnasium N20 with participation of representatives of education boards RB, Ufa education institutions, the Vice-Consul of the US Consulate General in Yekaterinburg Carol Trimble, American instructors and tutors. This is the joint project of the American-Bashkir inter-college, made on the base of the gymnasium N20 and the US Embassy in Russia with assistance of Ministry of education RB. Director of the Bashkir inter-college Vyacheslaw Schvaiko says the US Embassy renders methodical assistance to Bashkir pedagogues, working in the camp, sends American pedagogues for working in the camp and provides consultations on English language, culture and regional geography of the USA. Along with study of English language children have to pass the trainings on the basics of the leadership. As M-r Schvaiko believes “it will help them to prepare themselves for the future professions, where English language, inter-cultural intercourse and leadership acquirements will play essential role”.
