June 26 is the International Day of struggle with drugs

International Day of struggle with drug abuse and drug business is marked on June 26. In 1987 United Nations Organization General Assembly decreed to mark June 26 as the International Day of struggle with drug abuse and drug illegal circulation every year. The decision was reached on December 7, 1987, by the recommendation of the International conference on struggle with drug abuse and drug illegal circulation. On June 26 the conference approved the global plan on struggle with drugs.

Struggle with drugs in Bashkortostan is found at full operation, the deputy chief of Russian Federal Drug Control Service in RB police Mayor-General Vitally Martynov reported. From the beginning of the year Bashkir drug police seized 1,5 times more drugs than for the same period of time in 2008. M-r Martynov also reported that Republican drug control service came out with the initiative to provide free-will testing on drug consumption among pupils and students of secondary special education institutions. This work is already done in Ufa and Ufa budget allocates more than 2,5 million rubles for this direction every year.
